Chaba Cabana Beach Resort ★★★

The view from the pool was stunning, the beach was lovely and the sea very inviting. There were 12 of us and we managed to get sun beds every day overlooking the sea and staff would set up a table to dine in the same area, it was a beautiful setting. We were there in April and the tide was low so it was a nice fifteen minute walk along the beach to get to the action of Chaweng. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Not a lot of beach.

Very clean and well managed resort/hotel complex. Staff were quite helpful with enquiries. Breakfast and that view from the restaurant was spectacular. great pool with plenty of sunbeds.

Nothing to speak of.

It was my second time here and I loved it again. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The pool is very nice, as well as the pool bar. The restaurant food is good, I had dinner there every night of my stay. The staff is nice and everything is clean. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was so clean and comfortable in the bedroom, the pool and bar area is amazing, the view is incredible as well as the location and proximity to the sea. We had dinner at the front restaurant with seaview and everything was delicious. The breakfast and the bar food is good, with amazing view. And the staff is nice.

It could have body lotion in the room, just a suggestion, because I don’t have any complaints really.

loved the location on the beach , probably the nicest part of the beach for swimming . staff were amazing and helpful , all speaking English also . the restaurant was great for lunch , snacks and dinner. would be great to have ceiling fans so you didn’t need the Aircon on all the time . Aircon is excellent . there’s also a free shuttle bus going into town and back .

Quiet location whicb means sleep in chaweng! Stunning beachfront hotel. Staff so helpful and friendly. Free bus to centre which was fab.

Bbq and movie night was lovely but only omce a week. Some more entertainment on site would be great espically when you have children

The room was clean and well stocked

The coffee and tea wasn’t enough especially the one packet of powdered milk. I like my coffee milky and was having it really strong.

We had a very good experience. Staff was so kind. Rooms big and clean. The resort is beautiful and so close to the beach. It takes just ten minutes walking to the center.

I was booked to stay in their other hotel further down the beach but they had some issues and I requested to move. The Mgr that I spoke to was very understanding and offered me a room at the Chaba, offered to take me to have a look to view the room and facilities and then make my decision. I was very pleased with the way my issue was dealt with. My room was clean and comfortable with a decent shower. The pool facility was good, clean and well kept around the area. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice was good and the food quality was fine. I did not eat any other meals here as there is so much choice on your door step so can not comment about snacks or dinners. I booked 2 very good tours through the hotel and was well looked after and felt was very good value for money. The location was really good, the beach on your door step is excellent, for the night life you are close by but not too close that the noise keeps you up. I found a really cool Night food market where I ended up having most of my main meal, lovely people, great quality food and superb value for money. I also enjoyed a few pints in The Duke which is very close by. I arranged my transport to the airport at 5.30am through the hotel and had very reliable service at a good price. I would recommend this hotel, it's not a premium hotel but I feel it offers really good value for money for the quality of service, excellent beach and pool facilities, clean rooms and for the location.

The Wifi internet signal was easily lost and I found it very difficult and time consuming to check in with my airline the day before I left the hotel. This is one area that the hotel could really improve.

The location right on the waters edge. Unusual deco but it worked very well. Friendly staff and all in all comfortable and value for the price.

A section of the sea wall is damaged and the sooner that is fixed the better. It will have a marked impact on the appeal and the access to the safe beach.

View was good, rest nothing special about it

Breakfast, all day same, nothing changed. Rooms are old and smelly and room clean wasn't proper and upto standards. Not worth at all.

Position and pool!

Unfortunately we were there after a big storm and a lot of damage has been done since my last visit! There was no access to the beach so it meant climbing a large hill each time you wanted to go into town and get a taxi! Breakfast was very basic!

Everything was perfect, we were upgraded to a huge suite and it was clean, big and perfect. The beach in front was one of the best ones of the island and during the first afternoon it looked like the sea of the Maldives. Beachfront lovely swimming pool and beach bar with so friendly staff. Also the breakfast was with a huge variety of food (Thai, European and showcooking area) and with a wonderful view of the beach. The beach was small and romantic not like fuzzy downtown chaweng / ark bar. I come back every other year to samui and definitely think that Chaba cabana is one of the best solutions for chaweng : price for value, amazing beach setting, cleanest rooms and warming people greeting you everywhere.

Nothing to complain. Only that if you are looking for party life you have to walk 15 minutes by the beach (a lovely walk) or 100 baht of taxi because you are in the north of chaweng but it was worth it anyways

Love the bed....staff are the friendliest and most helpful as I known anywhere. Generally the place was very clean with the exception of our bathroom which left a lot to desire

Bathroom. all tiling was mouldy and was peppered all over with splattered insects.it wasn't a problem with the maid who was great....more the maintenance people Perfect sitting on the beach with helpful staff that smile all day long.

the resort itself was nice, clean and really pretty.

We experienced food poising - the worst we've ever had in our - we only ate at the resort therefore it was obvious it was the hotel. We asked staff for assistance but they were terrible. In general the staff were unhelpful and this was magnified when we asked for assistance as we were too ill to even get out of bed for more than 48hours. It was serious and we are really disappointed given both Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day was ruined. Other guests experienced the same. Throughly disappointed - would not recommend. Contacted the resort post holiday and they of course denied the problem and were unwilling to help - should have known this was the case given that they were so unhelpful when we were there.

Excellent stay ! We stayed an extra 3 nights on top of the 4 we pre booked. Staff are friendly, clean and spacious rooms, poolside with a gorgeous view of the beach. Buffet breakfast was lovely and the staff kept topping you up with tea and coffee. My partner had his birthday while we were there, and staff wrote on the board, and brought a complimentary cake while we were out for the day!! I would 100% recommend this hotel, and I will be visiting again.

Pool could do with a little clean - just the leaves off the trees around the pool side.
